January 2021:

Covid-19 Updates and What's Upcoming for 2021

With the current Stay at Home measures in place across Ontario, we want you to know that PROergonomics is OPEN for services. Kinesiologists are Regulated Health Professionals and are permitted to continue providing services under the current public health guidelines.

We are able to provide a number of services virtually, so when appropriate, we are recommending virtual assessments as the preferred option to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Not sure if your project can be done virtually? Give us a call, we’re happy to have a discussion about the best approach for your project.

In some instances, virtual assessments are not possible/practical and in these cases, we continue to provide onsite assessment services as our services play an integral role to the health & safety of our clients. All precaution measures will be followed as per public health, government and our regulating body guidelines, as well as additional measures requested by our clients.

But beyond that … Welcome 2021! Our team at PROergonomics is working diligently on some exciting NEW developments! We are particularly excited about some new online learning opportunities we will be launching very shortly that will be available in a format for your organization to watch on demand and compatible with your existing Learning Management System. Stay tuned for more information!

We are also excited for the HRPA 2021 Annual Conference & Trade show this month. This virtual conference looks to be packed full of amazing content, not to mention both Jen and Sarah will have speaking engagements. If you are looking to register, use code SPKR50 to save $50 on the registration fees. Registration and speaker info can be found here.

  • ·“The Ergonomics of Working Remotely: Lessons Learned from COVID-19” – presented by Jennifer McGillis (Jan 26th @11:05am)
  • ·“Bridging the Cognitive Demands of Working At Home vs. In-house” – presented by Sarah Snable (Jan 26th @3:15pm)

We also have a new lineup of free monthly webinars planned for 2021. Webinars will begin in February so stay tuned to the website for registration information.

Last year we started working with some new biomechanical modeling software, SantosHuman Inc. It has enabled us to provide a more in-depth analysis of complex ergonomic issues for Ergonomic Risk Assessments. Alex even collaborated with SantosHuman to help develop a video in their Master Class series, showing how a wide range of task design change options can affect risk of injury. We’ve linked this video on our social media; see LinkedIn post here.

We can’t wait to connect with you in 2021 and see what ergonomic challenges await! All the best and stay safe 😊
