PROergonomics' Annual Office Ergonomics FAQ
Office workstations have their own unique hazards including prolonged seated postures, reaching for the mouse, awkward postures to review paperwork, and more. Anyone who has ever felt pain or discomfort at their workstation can attest to the fact that computer work is not easy if you don’t have the right set-up and equipment but good news is that minor changes can greatly reduce a worker’s chances of developing an injury.
What makes office ergonomics difficult is dealing with complex injuries, hundreds of ergonomic equipment options and that there are often multiple ways to achieve the end goal of good posture and fit.
This month, we’ll be answering your questions about office ergonomics. Topics will range from basic office ergonomic principles, the purpose and setup of different equipment, as well as how to keep your employees happy and healthy without purchasing every trendy piece of equipment (we’re looking at you, sit-stand workstations).
