Help Workers to Help Themselves: Front Line Staff Training
Nobody understands their job better than the person doing it. When asked about issues with their job, workers can often provide detailed descriptions of problems, and well-thought out solutions. If given additional knowledge and skills, they can often nip potential problems in the bud.
Generally, this training takes the form of providing workers with a basic understanding of ergonomic principles that they can apply as part of their daily work routine. This includes avoiding awkward postures and repetitive forceful exertions. It also may include instruction on safe lifting practices and basic stretching routines.
This month we will share some of our practices for training your front line staff to take care of their bodies when on the job.
