Incorporating Ergonomic Principles into the Project Design Phase

Ergonomics is a field often overlooked in the early design stages of a project. If not accounted for, ergonomic flaws in design may lead to costly WSIB claims in the long run, or unnecessary costs to retrofit equipment and workstations. Before implementation of new equipment, tools, workstations or changes to an existing workstation layout and flow, it is critical (and to your bottom line’s benefit!) to incorporate an ergonomics review.
