TrainHR Webinar: Developing an Effective MSD Prevention Program

The first step in improving the culture and awareness around MSD prevention is developing a program or policy.

Without it, there are not clear goals, objectives and targets related to MSD prevention and little direction on how the workplace will identify hazards and work to effectively reduce injury risk.

The goal of this webinar is to review key components of a program and how you can effectively build this program into your existing H&S system, without reinventing the wheel.

Why you should Attend:

MSDs account for >33% of workplace injuries in North America, an estimated 1/3 of days away from work cases and on average, employees with an MSD injury take more days off from work that those with other types of workplace injuries and illnesses.

As a result, the costs associated with these types of injuries are staggering, estimated between 15 and 22 billion annually in the USA and Canada making MSDs one of the costliest medical conditions in North America.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • MSD injury prevention
  • Program/policy development
  • Stakeholder roles and responsibilities
  • Participatory approach to ergonomics
  • Hazard identification and change practices
  • Controls and change evaluation practices

Who Will Benefit:
