Manual Material Handling: Risky Business or Risky Behaviours?

We’ve all heard it: “Lift with your legs, not your back”. It makes sense. Our leg musculature can typically handle the resultant strain from manual material handling (MMH) tasks, our backs are a little bit more delicate. While MMH has some inherent risks, we can increase that risk with poor work methods: We don’t bend our knees, we attempt to handle something heavy, we rush to get the job done.

So, what if there were more to MMH than just the little cue “lift with your legs, not your back”? Rather than hoping that you go unscathed from these risky workplace behaviours that we often see, why not implement new, and maybe even outside the box, ideas to help with your workplace’s MMH requirements.

Join us for this month’s webinar as we talk about working smarter, not harder and delve into different solutions to your workplace’s manual material handling challenges.
