Hours of Work
Part-time staff are expected to be available for one or more days during PROergonomics’ business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm).
PROergonomics is a fast paced, growing consulting firm. We specialize in ergonomic assessments and training and provide our clients with highly professional, specialized ergonomic consulting services using a team-based approach. PROergonomics is an employee conscious company that is looking to fill an immediate opening for an Ergonomist who is highly motivated and personable with exceptional people and training skills.
Position Summary
PROergonomics is looking for an analytical and technology savvy person capable of performing with a high level of autonomy. Ergonomists will be expected to perform office ergonomic assessments (virtual and in-person), physical and cognitive demands assessments (PDA/CDA), ergonomic risk assessments, and deliver training sessions and webinars to our clients.
Education, Certification & Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, or equivalent
- Registered Kinesiologist with the CKO and member of the OKA
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (AE/CCPE, AEP/CPE) designation, or in progress is an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Insured/reliable personal transportation
Position Requirements
- Competency in objectively identifying, documenting, and analyzing workplace physical demands/ergonomic hazards in a job/task
- Minimum 1 year experience delivering the following ergonomic services:
- Office Ergonomic Assessments
- Physical Demands Assessments
- Exceptional technical report writing skills
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs
- Ability to work effectively from a home office
- Demonstrated effective time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills to maintain professional relationships with clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Experience delivering a more diverse range of ergonomic services (see below):
- Cognitive Demands Assessments
- Ergonomic Risk Assessments with practical control recommendations
- Return to Work and Job Matching reports for client accommodation cases
- Ergonomic trainings and webinars on a variety of ergonomic-related topics
- 2+ years practicing in the field of ergonomics
- Experience working as an ergonomic consultant
- Available for occasional after-hours assessments or overnight travel (not essential)
Location of Work
PROergonomics provides service to clients across Ontario both virtually and in-person. Our team works from home offices and travels to client sites to conduct assessments. We are open to interviewing applications from a variety of work locations in the Central Ontario Region and Greater Toronto Area. Examples include, but are not limited to, individuals in Simcoe County, York Region, Durham Region, Halton Region, Peel Region, Region of Waterloo, and Cities of Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Milton, Oakville, Vaughan, Newmarket and surrounding.
